Abbey resides in Iowa, USA with her husband (Ben) and dog (Ren). Abbey is currently employed as an assistant Elementary School Principal and Curriculum Director at a local school district. She has spent time teaching in not only the USA, but has also taught in Ireland and Australia. She taught Kindergarten for 8 years while working on her masters and principal license and enjoys working with our youngest learners to help them reach their potential. Abbey currently serves on her local community club board, local Dollars for Scholars and School Wellness. Abbey is an avid traveler and enjoys adventures, which lead her to Kenya in 2018. She has been able to see the work that The Centre of Love has done and her desire to be on the board is fueled by not only her passion to help everyone reach their potential, but also the ability to make sure everyone has access to clean water.
